ABOUT THE HILTI TE 2000-AVR
The Hilti TE 2000-AVR is a high-performance electric floor breaker designed for breaking concrete, asphalt and other hard materials.
Despite weighing only 14.5 kg, it delivers 35 joules of impact energy for fast, effective demolition. Hilti’s Active Vibration Reduction system helps make the breaker more comfortable to operate, while its low working weight makes it easier to position and move around site.
The TE-S chuck allows accessories to be changed efficiently, making the machine suitable for a variety of breaking and chiselling applications.
FAQs
Do I need experience to use the floor breaker?
The breaker should only be used by someone who is competent and physically able to control it safely. Basic operating guidance can be provided when the machine is collected or delivered.
What can the Hilti TE 2000-AVR break?
It is designed for floor-level demolition work, including breaking concrete slabs, paths, driveways, screed and asphalt.
Can it be used to break walls?
The TE 2000-AVR is primarily designed for downward, floor-level breaking. A smaller demolition hammer may be more appropriate for horizontal or wall applications.
Does it plug into a normal domestic socket?
No. This is a 110V site tool and requires a suitable 110V transformer or site supply. Build Compound can provide a transformer and extension lead if required.
Is a breaker point or chisel included?
A suitable point or chisel can be supplied with the breaker. Please tell us what material you are breaking so we can provide the most appropriate accessory.
What is Active Vibration Reduction?
Hilti’s Active Vibration Reduction system helps reduce the vibration transferred to the operator, improving comfort during use. Appropriate breaks and exposure controls must still be followed.
NEED HELP CHOOSING?
Our team is here to help you find the right machine for your project.
Can dust extraction be provided?
The breaker is compatible with Hilti’s TE DRS-B dust-removal system. Please ask about availability when booking.
Can you deliver the breaker to site?
Yes. Build Compound provides local delivery across Yorkshire, subject to location and availability.
What safety equipment will I need?
Suitable eye, hearing, respiratory, hand and foot protection should be worn. The working area should also be checked for hidden electrical cables, gas pipes, water services and other hazards before breaking begins.
What happens if the breaker stops working?
Stop using it and contact Build Compound immediately. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the machine yourself. We will provide assistance and arrange a solution as quickly as possible.
