ABOUT THE BD1000 WATER CONTAINER
The BD1000 water collection container provides a temporary drainage solution when the dehumidifier cannot discharge directly into a sink, drain or external outlet.
The Dri-Eaz BD1000 extracts moisture from the air and uses its integrated pump to discharge the collected condensate through a hose. The hose can be secured inside this container, allowing the dehumidifier to operate in rooms without convenient drainage.
The container must be positioned securely on a firm, level surface and checked regularly. It does not automatically stop the dehumidifier when full, so responsibility remains with the operator to prevent overflowing.
FAQs
Is the dehumidifier included?
No. This hire item is the water collection container only. The Dri-Eaz BD1000 dehumidifier, transformer and other drying equipment are hired separately.
Why would I need a separate water container?
It provides a collection point when the dehumidifier’s drainage hose cannot be routed safely to a sink, drain or external outlet.
Does the BD1000 pump water into the container?
Yes. The BD1000 has an automatic condensate pump that discharges collected water through its drainage hose.
Will the dehumidifier stop when the container is full?
No. The separate container does not communicate with the dehumidifier and will not automatically stop it. The water level must be monitored regularly to prevent overflowing.
How often will the container need emptying?
This depends on the container capacity and the amount of moisture being extracted. During the early stages of a drying project, it may fill quickly and require frequent checks.
Where should the container be positioned?
Place it upright on a firm, level and water-resistant surface. It should not obstruct doors, walkways, escape routes or access to the dehumidifier.
NEED HELP CHOOSING?
Our team is here to help you find the right machine for your project.
How should the drainage hose be installed?
The hose should be secured inside the container and positioned so it cannot become dislodged. Avoid kinks, restrictions and trip hazards.
Can I use a container with a lid?
Only if the lid has a suitable opening that allows the drainage hose to enter without being crushed or restricted. The container must not be sealed airtight.
Can I use it to store drinking water?
No. It is intended solely for collecting condensate from drying equipment and must not be used for drinking water or food-related purposes.
Can I use it to collect contaminated floodwater?
The BD1000 removes moisture from the air rather than pumping standing floodwater. Contaminated water requires appropriate specialist handling, cleaning and disposal.
How should the collected water be disposed of?
In most ordinary drying applications, the condensate can be emptied into a suitable foul-water drain. Local restrictions and contamination risks must be considered.
Can you deliver the complete setup?
Yes. Build Compound provides local delivery across Yorkshire, subject to location and availability.
What should I do if the container leaks?
Stop directing water into it, protect the surrounding area and contact Build Compound. A cracked or leaking container must not continue to be used.
