FAQs
What tools can the compressor operate?
The XAS 58-7 can power compatible pneumatic breakers, rock drills, clay spades and other compressed-air equipment within its airflow and pressure capacity.
Can it operate two breakers at once?
Yes. Its 106 CFM output is designed to operate two compatible air tools simultaneously. Actual performance will depend on the individual airflow requirements of each tool.
Are breakers included with the compressor?
Pneumatic breakers, hoses, points and chisels can be added to your hire. Please confirm the complete equipment package you require when booking.
How many air outlets does it have?
The precise outlet arrangement can vary between machines, but the compressor is configured for twin-tool operation. Build Compound will confirm the connections supplied with your hire.
Is the compressor road towable?
Yes, when supplied with the appropriate approved towing equipment. The driver is responsible for checking vehicle towing capacity, licence requirements, coupling compatibility, lighting and all relevant road regulations.
Does it weigh less than 750 kg?
The stated operating weight is approximately 749 kg. Any accessories, fuel or additional equipment may increase the total transported weight and must be considered before towing.
NEED HELP CHOOSING?
Our team is here to help you find the right machine for your project.
How long will it run on one tank?
Running time depends on the connected tools, operating load and site conditions. The compressor has a 45-litre diesel tank designed to support prolonged site operation.
Do I need to provide the diesel?
Fuel arrangements will be confirmed when booking. Only the correct diesel should be used, and the engine must be switched off and allowed to cool before refuelling.
Can it be used indoors?
No. The diesel engine produces dangerous exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide. It must only be operated outdoors in a suitably open and ventilated location.
Can you deliver the compressor to site?
Yes. Build Compound provides local delivery across Yorkshire, subject to location and availability.
What happens if the compressor stops working?
Stop the machine, isolate the connected air tools and contact Build Compound immediately. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair it yourself. We will provide assistance and arrange a solution as quickly as possible.
